I saw the clip on this morning's breakfast show and was appalled. Paul Henry and Peter Williams seemed to find it all very amusing, much to my disgust. the poor little thing must of been terrified. Nothing short of animal cruelity.
I had tears in my eyes watching it.

Didn't you know that Paul Henry finds everything amusing as long as it is at the expense of others?

Cheers

Peter

I agree Gemini. I saw it too and there was nothing remotely funny about it. I was stunned to see that all three men - Paul, Peter and Corran thought it funny whereas Pippa didn't. Maybe it is something in our female genes about nurturing, not hurting!

Yes I then saw it on TV, and was horrified that they took it across water.. I had only got the first newspaper article,... and thought it had probably risen a few feet
I think Peter Williams got involved in the laughter of Paul rather than thinking it was a funny story as such. I hope the sick peeps get truly done for.
I still might use it as a threat to one stroppy donkey, there isnt much that frightens her.

As a person who has been closely involved with donkeys for 25 years, and has seen and worked with several hundred of them, I would seriously doubt that if the donkey was braying that it would be frightened. They don't bray if they are frightened. Donkeys freeze when they are frightened, start shaking and sweating, and release a stream of loose poo. If that was not happening, then you can be fairly certain that she was enjoying herself.

I found this absoluty horrifiying.

But at the same time remembered they parachuted mules out of aircraft in the second world war.

I thought we had come along at bit at animal wellfare and awearness since then.

Poor little mite, I hope it is being looked after well now!

My newspaper reports that the animal involved is both an ass and a mule. As an ass is not a mule, and as a mule is not an ass ......My comments above apply to an ass. My newspaper also indicated that the ass/mule/whatever was sweating. I think the ass was a mule, which I suspect would shriek in fear :-(

Whether it enjoyed flying or not, it was cruel to let it land in the ocean and half drown...

Tomorrow is the day I will stop procrastinating.
