I know I had it on Tuesday at work, and my routine at present is arrive get home, get changed, take the ring off and put it on my cabinet next to the bed and put it back on again the following morning.

However I am stuck as to whether I wore it to work on Wednesday or not. There is no reason why I wouldn't have, but I know I didn't have it on Wednesday night when I went to a meeting. Thursday we were shearing lambs so I didn't put it on then in case I had to hold something, and didn't have it Friday either.

yesterday i tidied up and realised it wasn't on top of the book (Dust to Gold - how appropriate then I am looking through the vaccy bag) as I thought on my bedside cabinet. So the next place I sometimes take it off is at the table on my placemat. Not there.

I have moved the bedside cabinet out, cut up the vacuum bag to check the contents, and crawled around the floor in search of it. It was quite tight on my finger (thus why i would keep it off for heavy work) so I know it hasn't fallen off.

E says I pull on it when I am thinking about something, last week being a particularly concerning week... (re other post). I have called work, no one has handed it in there unless its on my desk in my office (which is locked up anyhow). In the back of my mind I think I recall I heard something drop when I was chatting one morning and perhaps it was in my jeans pocket. But I don't have any reason to have put it there to begin with? I have pulled the filter out on the washing machine and run my hand around the rubber ring. Not there.

So does anyone have a good relationship with the cards? Any feelings out there as to where it might be? Please? :)

Wedding rings bounce then roll around floors for some distance, so go to the opposite side of the room to where you normally put it.. You really are having bad luck right now, but I have a feeling you will find it and then say.. Oh of course thats where I put it..
a bit like my cell ph, I lose it, then ring it and there it is in the mug charging... gggrrrr

More than once today Beedee I checked out my necklaces around my neck because at times I thread the ring through them to get it out the way, but still safe.

Went to the shed as E and I were cutting carpet on Wednesday for the new arrivals, not there. However then discovered a lone calf in a paddock it shouldn't have been, and then made the discovery I was 4 short, from Friday.
spent the following couple of hours walking over adjoining market garden land looking for them and then a neighbour's visitor told us she moved them into a MG paddock this morning for safe keeping.

Not there, so then sent the SOH and E off to another neighbour and it was on the way out they discovered the boys in another paddock.

Funny how one drama unfolds into another. Hopefully I will find the ring tomorrow and the circle (circus) of the last few days will stop.

Unfortunately unlike a cellphone, this ring won't be heard :D

Do you have a cat that might have been playing with it?

Did you know, that what you thought I said, was not what I meant :S

Any chance it is on a nail or hook - and no - I have no relationship to the cards! Just a thought that popped into my head.

Did you wash your hands and put it on a window sill or sink and then forget about it?

My mum lost her engagement ring in similar circumstances, spent months looking for it, then finally gave up and put in an insurance claim, but never felt the same way about the replacement ring.

About five years later, we were ripping up the carpet in my parent's bedroom and Mum saw something glinting - her ring!! It had gone between the crack - and I hesitate to call it that, because it was only a mm wide - where the carpet butts up against the wall. There was just enough space for it sit between the carpet and the wood strips with nails in it that they use to hold down carpet.

Being an honest sort, she rang the insurer, who told her it was her lucky day. The "other" ring is now in a drawer, and the original is firmly welded to my mother's hand.

Good lucky Swaggie, I hope you find it soon. I hate doing things like that with stuff that doesn't really matter (usually hammers or screwdrivers or my pliers) but it would be awful for something really precious.

I lost my wedding ring at the surf at Mt Maunganui in the first year of our marriage that put the mockers on it and it only lasted another 16 years :-) My ex (gawd bless 'er) lost the engagement ring years later, cost me 19 quid in 1966. I found it years later stuck under the car mat..

I pulled works vaccy bag apart today, found someone's earring in there... so that is up on the noticeboard now.

I lifted the carpet behind the cabinet PG as it hadn't been renailed since our bathroom leak, however its not under there. I have tried replicating lifting the book with a ring on to see where it would have landed, but no luck yet.

it just has to be here as I don't take it off until I get home and get changed..:(:(:(

Lol....I lost my watch somewhere in the house about 6 weeks ago & I still havent been able to find it. Its my favourite watch "Betty Boop" so I hope it turns up at some stage. Hubby reckons I must be slacking with the housework coz I should have found it by now if I was cleaning things properly :-)

Metal detectors LOVE gold, it is a dense metal. the metal detectors don't need magnetic or ferrous metals to find things. they look for variations in density rather than magnetic attraction to the objects within their fields.
