Egg Cups was created by Midge
I've been into, or phoned every likely shop in Oamaru and checked out the main kitchen ware shops in Dunedin looking for childrens eggs cups and haven't found a one. All that's available are plain white ceramic ones or the spiral stainless ones:( I've been keeping an eye out on TM but nothing appealing has been listed.

I'm sure many of you will remember the cute ones we had as kids in the 60's and 70's. The six kids in our family each had their own - mine was a donkey pulling a cart - the egg sat in the cart.

I have 2 young Grandies from Kenya coming for an extended holiday and would love to give them their own cute egg cups in which to eat my lovely eggs.

Have you seen any nice ones in your shops[?]
Cheers:)

I know what you mean. We have some egg cups that came with easter eggs. Nice ceramic ones two. A thomas and a barbie.

Don't Farmers have them?

Midge the types we had as kids were the ones you used to get with an easter egg in . I sold a trio of them on TM a few months back and got good money for them . Have you had a look in op shops or second hand dealers places.

I was going to suggest the op shops. I will have a look today in ours up here. I have those train ones etc. Yes, they did come with easter eggs. I would never part with those ones. I have a couple of Bob The Builder ones I picked up from a garage sale somewhere here. They aren't the old fashioned type ones though. If I can find them would they be of any use to you.

You can certainly still get them as E has 4 different lots in NSW, but we found they mainly come back into stock around easter time (go figure that).

I would also suggest the smaller specialist kitchen shops, but you might also find at this time of year the standard slow moving stock has been put away for the christmas plates...

Midge, did you have a look in Total Food Equipment? They often have 'stuff' that others don't, and also Southern Hospitality (although they're probably more likely to have just plain ones, I guess).

There's also Macklins and a new shop, opening today (I heard them advertising on the Breakfast Show this morning), NODE or something (New Objects of Desire) which supposedly have 'stuff'.

I can't promise I can get to any of these for you, but if you haven't checked any of them and would like me too, let me know. I have to go into town today, tomorrow and Thursday (bugger it all).

Thanks for all of your suggestions and offers girls :)

A Dunedin person has just listed a big collection of the ones I'm after on TM[^]

Prim I went to Total Foods in Dunedin last week and they also only had the spiral and plain white ceramic ones. I ended up buying a few spiral ones (incase I can't find any others) from the Plastic Box(think that's what it was called) a few doors along from them - same thing at half the price. My big brown eggs look great sitting in them on the window sill[^]
Thanks again!
Cheers:)
