One of the best things about firefox is the ability to add functionality using Add-ins. These add-ins are great little attached gismos that let you do common functions faster, easier, better.
For example -
ReloadEvery - lets you automatically refresh a page every (insert any time here) seconds/minutes/hours. Great for.. ahem.. certain local auction sites.
IETab - for those rare websites that don't open nicely in firefox (like microsoft.com), this uses the Internet Explorer engine to open an explorer window in firefox.
FlashBlock - stops little annoying flash automations on each webiste, unless you want them to work.
AdBlock Plus - Gets rid of all the banner ads which are just irritating.
There are hundreds more, ready and waiting

I use Xmarks which synchronises the Bookmarks (Favourites) between my Desktop and Laptop PCs. So, no matter where I am, all my bookmarks are quickly at hand.

My wife doesn't like Firefox so uses Google Chrome, which actually works for us as all our bookmarks stay seperate and we can use the keep me logged in buttons on here, facebook, other forums etc without finding yourself logged out every time.

3.6 is out, if you were not aware...I had a problem with 3.5 the other day, and got the notice that I might want to update to fix the problem.

I think if you go and clear recent history and get rid of the cookies to that site (from the browser not just the comp) you will solve that little problem. I had a similar problem when I first used firefox but it was something to do with those cookies. The best thing about firefox is the add-ons and themes etc.

Don't get your knickers in a knot; it solves nothing and makes you walk funny.
What do you do with Google when you change? Delete it, make it second choice? Seriously ignorant about these issues. I am on Vista Home Basic if that makes a difference, using IE8. Windows has enought Updates! How often is Firefox updated?
