I was in the supermarket this afternoon, just rounded the corner and stopped at the freezer cabinet when this boy skates by me on those skate sneeker things and his sisiter behind him skates right into the end of my trolley. Split her lip, bleeding and crying. Mother comes over and sone says 'she rammed her with the trolley' pointed at me. The mother starts scretching at me, the little girl is still bleeding and crying, the boy skates off.
A shop assistant came over and stuck up for me. Then the store manger came over and and told the woman off for letting her children skate in the store, evdently hae has spoken to her before about it. So she mouthed off at him and he ordered her out of the store. Then hes asked me if I was all right and i burst into tears. I just felt sick, it was horrible.

Some people think they own the earth. Sadly, they teach their children the same. I imagine the shop people know this and can tell the differece.

It must have been very unpleasant and I hope you don't take it to heart.

Oh you poor thing. Was a horrible thing to have happen. Obviously, someone else had seen exactly what happened so they could stick up for you - thank goodness.

Stiff drink required and some soothing chocolate.
Is hubby home tonight?? or still away. Phone someone and talk about it - it will do you the world of good.

Wow. Some parents! Letting kids get away with lying as well!

Glad the supermarket staff stood up for you.

Yes, definitely have a stiff drink!

A flatmate of mine in the USA (way back in the '70s) used to say, "They'll get theirs!" I always felt smug when she said that because it meant we could forget all about the incident/person & sometime when they were least expecting it .....

TKP, how awful for you. It would have made me feel sick too. Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed!

Tomorrow is the day I will stop procrastinating.

You really have to wonder what hope there is for those kids having a mother who has condoned lying, ignored previous warnings of expected behaviour from her children and then used verbal abuse to defend herself when found to to wrong.

Just image how may life lessons those kids could have learnt if she had listened and taught her kids the "right" way when she was first warned. Sad.

Not your fault kats. Sorry you had to experience this.

I just hope that the wee lass got some attention to her split lip. The boy needed a clip round the ear.
No hubby is not home again tonight. I'm beginning to think he has another secret family somewhere.

What a useless mother! People have to control their dogs in a public place so why do some parents not control their kids? They can do serious damage to themselves and others.

I watched a young boy riding his bike along the footpath on the main street on Sunday. Sunday is market day here and quite often in nice weather, the main street is packed with vehicles and pedestrians. This kid was whizzing around, down the footpath and into the car park without looking or slowing down... some poor git in a car may well have been driving out of the car park and would have collected him.

The guy who owns the garage had words with a kid a while back about riding his bike all over the road, he ignored him and carried on riding and weaving in and out, down the centre line and where he pleased with no helmet. I saw the ambulance when I went out to see the goats. Luckily he wasn't badly hurt but the car that had hit him, although it wasn't going very fast had hit the kid hard enough to send the kid quite a distance. Poor driver!

Some kids just don't seem to understand the consequences of their actions or even see any danger.... a five year old can tell you to look right and left and right again before crossing the road and also tell you why... other kids, no matter how old they are take no notice and when they have a parent or parents like this woman, well, why would they bother taking any notice cos their mother doesn't. What a rude woman!

It's this sort of parent you get to hear about, wailing about the injustices of the world and how her children are just innocent bystanders... yeah right, she needs to take some responsibility and face up to reality.

It's people like you who end up suffering as a result of their warped sense of rules and badly raised children....

This incident has stolen your time and energy and happiness all because of the mother and her bratty lying son.

I'd love to know the accident rate on those shoes with wheels! I am betting quite high as they seem hard to stop on, esp when there is a sudden need. Your case parallels the issues they had with those kiddie trolleys that people were getting rammed with a while back, with a few injuries to adults...

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time of it. Supermarkets are not the nicest places at the best of times as far as consideration ratings go from those using them! Most folk seem to wander round in a dream and forget others are there also.

Take a break...while I take care of your home, your block, your pets, your stock! [;)] PM me...

TKP I shall have to teach you how to inflict great pain and agony to such brats, while it looks like an innocent hold protecting the rugrat.. and you can pretend to be checking that they are OK.. its one of those pains that they cant even cry out..just stand there and see the evil spark in your eyes..
sorry that your time in the s.market was ruined.. and yes the dragon will be back to bite them in the bum

Hope you are feeling better today TKP!. :)

My former sister in law's Dad, a self made man in the trucking industry, was driving his range rover (some years ago) down a side road and saw kids playing so took things very carefully.

A few hours later the police showed up at his house and claimed he ran over a bike belonging to one of the kids, the parents wanted to press charges and wanted the bike replaced.

W showed the police the car, there wasn't a mark on it.

I don't know whether W was charged or not, but know the incident certainly cost him some $$'s regardless.
He was a very decent person and I know if he had collected a kid's bike, not only would he have never left the scene, the child would have been taken care of very well indeed to right the situation.

I went into TA today to finish the shopping which I abandoned yesturday and bugga me... a power cut to the whole town. Not tills, not eftpos, no bank to get cash, shops actually closed up, doesn't anyone use cash anymore? I thought I'd have an early lunch and wait for it to come back on, the coffee shop lady could serve me with a cold drink and something from the cabinet because she couldn't add up or make change withour the till. I kid you not.

Looked like a problem at the dairy factory if the amount of fire truck there as i drove home was anything to go by.

I can so relate to that - the kid at the lotto outlet a couple of weeks ago had to use his fingers to work out to give me $3 change [:0][:0][:0]

I work in a library which has a long, winding ramp going from one floor down/up to the next floor. My workmate just had to speak with the mother of a very small boy (2-3 years old) who was racing his scooter down it, running up the stairs and racing down again. The ramp is used a lot by mums with prams so it could have been a really messy accident. The mum got quite snooty by the sound of it - she was happily sitting in a comfy chair reading a magazine. Some of them treat the library as their free creche...let the kids do whatever they like.

However, one of our worst customers when it comes to health and safety is a grumpy old f@rt who speeds throughout the building on his mobility scooter, despite being able to walk without difficulty. He's been asked numerous times to slow down but he doesn't take any notice. He knocked a painting off an easal once and smashed it but it's only a matter of time before he knocks over a member of the public or staff. I hope they trespass him when that happens because he's the rudest man I've ever met and makes my skin crawl.

The next generation....Kinda scarey with parents like that isnt it. Its abit like our dangerous pitbull owner next door who swears her dog would never bite a child.................... she has her 3 year old grand daughter living with her and as far as I am concerned its an accident waiting to happen...
