My Sky battery removal....,help for an idiot was created by witheze
Was just sitting down to watch Jimmy's Farm when my screen said change batteries on remote. I have fought and fought with the little arrow but can't get the back open, just widened the crack. Grant..? Anyone,? why wont it open?

Hmmmm, there was some trick to it, I remember, but unfortunately we are not at the farm right now, so I can't be of any further help.

] Where the hell is it ?. You need a manual to replace the batteries????? Oh well ....I'll go ripping things around....it says you have ten minutes to replace when removed....then what,? I don't know what size....all right I'll read the freakin manual...when I find it....

However, 10 minutes should be plenty, once you've figured out how to get the blasted thing open

I can't imagine why there should be any time limit on replacing the batteries because as far as I know, there is no re-programmable memory in the remote control -- it's not a learning remote -- so I don't know why they say that.quote:Originally posted by witheze

My OH managed to get the back off ours - did say it was hard to do though....
Now it is held together with sticky tape because it won't stay on...

Um... ours comes off really easily, without fingernails - just grip the black rubber at the end in your hand & lever up from the middle (problably makes no sense).
And 2 AA batteries?
