Merry christmas

Just thought I would put this in now before i get too busy or forget lol.

Not been here alot, have had a bad run of late. After losing chelsea we have found out that thanks to Transit and their planning for a 4 lane highway from Otaki to Welly, we are one of those who are in danger of losing our house!! It kind of rocked our socks getting the letter, but its been very slow trying to find infomation. Big meeting in the street tomorrownight to try and get some clarity on where we stand.
The only positive is the thought of if we have to move, there will be no more Asshole neighbours to live next door anymore. They are the neighbours from hell, and to be rid of them is one bonus. Things probably wont happen for a year or so, you know how they like to keep ya dangling and in limbo. Think its more stressful now than before and we all just want answers and to know where the hell we stand so we can plan the future and move on.

With regards to the roading issue, my friends in Ramarama up top of the Bombays have just had the same thing happen to them, but it was Stevensons Quarries wanting to take their land for a Industrial Estate. Bad enough that their trucks rumble through Ramarama withput an Industrial Estate ruining the lovely spot up there. Anyway, to cut a long story short, with media and protesting my friends have won and the estate will go ahead as planned but not near the LSB's up there...so chin up

We too are in line for the extension of your expressway around the eastern bypass of Levin to join up with SH57.
It was all on about 5 years ago and got shelved-now it seems it is on the drawing board again and whilst it is a few years-(up to 10?) away, we know even less than you, except we were in direct line on the last plan!

Apparently 5 years ago it all got canned because there was no money. Now apparently the money is there. the Otaki bit is stage 1 then Transmission gully, then the bit from Otaki to Levin.
