Do you fake it or is it real!?

Fake christmas trees verses real christmas trees.
We have always had a fake tree but just for once I would like to get a real tree. We have sensitive noses here so probably not good for us! Are they worth the mess?

But we have had the real deal and loved it - but not the mess.
Bought a fake one a few years ago and much prefer it - less mess but it doesn't seem like the real thing. That's the compromise I guess.
The smell of pine can be quite strong, so if you are sensitive to it, go for the fake one.
Cheers

But the last couple of years we've succumb to a real tree .... doesn't help having a Christmas tree place just down the road

I have a metal container thingie that I purchased years ago that is like a wide dish which has four spread feet and four scew in attachments. You hold the tree upright and another person screws the attachments into the tree trunk. Steady as a rock and just water into the bowl with Asprin and that is it. Brilliant and love the pine smell.

Well when i got married and had kids i decided the time was right for a real tree. I had high expectations as i had been waiting for a very long time!
I love the smell, i love the way its not symetrical and decorations look great, kids enjoyed choosing which tree..but..I hate the pine needles on the floor!
Now my urge is over...we went back to a fake one hahaa

Placed in a large bucket, filled with stones to keep it weighted and topped up with water every day too. I don't get needle droppings that way and any stray bits are quickly swiffed up now we've got wood floors and no carpet.
Can't wait for my parents to get here in December. Mum's first job is to decorate the tree

Fortunately the kids are at an age where they want to do it...so after hubby puts the lights on ... I let them go for it ...whilst i have a cuppa and watch lol [}

Anyone else hate decorating trees or is it just me??
