Finally passed both my PAT and PCT tests! Had a scare with the PCT, failed it at first, then they let me resit and knocked 14 seconds off and passed! :D

Now only an interview, scope, medical, eyes, and typing test to go :p haha.

Who ever said it was too easy?

Exactly haha. I can completely touch type, but its all self taught, just from habbit lol. Im pretty sure they dont make you do it in the conventional style. I do still have to redo my PAT before I go to college though, as it wont be untill next year sometime, so need to still maintain my fitness (if not actually increase it) so still have more work to do, but atleast the process can start moving again! :)

Thats all completely up in the air at the moment. Nobody knows when the intakes for next year are yet, but hopefully I can get into the college by March....then 22weeks of training...Then straight into South Auckland :p

That's great, looks like you still got a bit of sweating to go now...

Um... please excuse my ignorance, or I must have missed a previous thread...

I had a quick look around the net, and this is what I came up with

Portable Appliance Test
Photographic Activity Test
Picture Arrangement Test
Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia

Postcoital test
Personal carbon trading
Paleolithic Continuity Theory
Patient care technician

I'm still none the wiser, can you please explain what you're on about? Those commonly known abbrveviations maybe aren't as commonly known as I'd like.

I see you shiver in anticip......................................................................................ation

When I was homeschooling, my kids did PAT tests every year - Progressive Achievement Tests - they were literacy and numeracy tests for primary level.

But from memory, the first letter of your tests is "Police" - am I right?

11 acres (4 in QEII Covenanted native bush), 15 sheep, 2 beefies, large vege gardens and a goat, and still no dog!:(

Oh, and uncountable wild birds - including fantails, swallows, yellowhammers, morepork, magpies, hawks, pukekos, and even quaill, pheasants and rainbow lorikeets [:D][:D] Not to mention possums, hares, rabbits, rats...

Ah ok...

PAT - Physical Appraisal Test - For me that was a 2.4km run in 10:15, 34 pressups, 48cm verticle jump, and a combined grip strength of 96 (kg?)

PCT - Physical Competency Test - Thats pushing a trailer, 200m sprint, balance beam, 1.8 horizontal jump, hurdle, zigzags, 2 under hurdles, jump through a window, over a 1.8M wall, drag a 70kg weight 10 metres, then a 2M mesh fence - In 2:16 :P lol
