My eldest will be 40 at Christmas, then 38 and 34. Grandkids are 19,15,10, almost 7 and the littlie was 3 on Wednesday. And yes they are so much more fun than their Mums were!!!

My lot are. 2 sons 29 and 27, and two girls 24 & 19. Eldest son has been married 3 1/2 years and have a newborn son. The other 3 ar all in longterm solid relationships and all in their own homes. We are very proud of them all.

sssnake, I know you dont miss the baby gates, nappies etc but make the most of each and every day, as the day they fly the nest maybe satisfying and rewarding, but in many ways its quite emotional, an end of an era when it suddenly hits you that you should have made even more of the time you had together as its the end of an era. it can take alot of getting used to. I look back and wow they were some busy but awesome years.

I think that was me :) Now that I'm not so bone tired all the time, I'm really enjoying the boys - and aware of the fast passing of time! Our oldest is almost 12 and at a lovely age - independent in most practical ways and old enough to have a really good conversation, but hasn't reached the stroppy years :) And he loves watching cooking shows with me and helping in the kitchen.

But every now and then I realise that in 10 years, our youngest will be 14! And he's so little and cute at the moment (other than the spells of 4-year-old boy frustrations), and comes out with the funniest things.

We're just getting to the stage where we can do things as a family without juggling the logistics of a toddler or baby - biking, sailing, swimming - hopefully we will get off our derieres often enough to do those things now that we can.

sorry seaside lol it was meant for you. mate you will get that time to do it all. Also try and make a holliday where you all get away from the everyday and just spend time together.

No, real life calls NZA, haven't been online :)

To everyone that pm'ed me politely, cheers :) Here's what (most) of you would have read:

The only reason I'm asking is I'm interested in personalities, personalities affect our opinions on certain things, children alter our personalities as well as our priorities and judging by responses I have witnessed to certain questions or situations here I reckon I can pretty much tell who has kids and who hasn't :)

Thats it, thats the big mystery, the reason I didn't announce that to start with is I know it would stop some people from voting as they would draw their own conclusions for my reasoning :)

End of quote

To all those that concluded it was some kind of conspiracy theory....

To those that voted, cheers :D

To Organix....... nice reply bro [;)]
