Does anyone have any knowledge of these ? Someone who will remain nameless  changed the video output to Proscan which our TV (old dunger Transonic) is not equipped to handle.
Soooooooo we have now lost all the on screen menu functions and cant get back in to change it back, or to factory reset. Have tried doing it blind by following manual but its not that easy when you cant actually follow along on the screen.
Now, hopefully this thing has a manual way of resetting back to factory set up but its neither obvious, or in the manual. Other option is going to be to take it somewhere with a modern TV and change it back.

Absolutely no idea other than to unplug it for at least four hours and hope like hell it resets itself to factory settings.

Probably the quickest way would be to find someone who's TV could do Proscan (or do you mean progressive scan? in which case most new TV's would.
Maybe the kids want a new TV!

Yayyy, fixed it. Thanks for the suggestions. Located a service agent in Auckland and after 5 minutes on the phone found that by pressing one of the many buttons on the remote that particular on-screen setting was reset to factory setting.
