Crikey, Gisborne, you are colder than home!

We had a good frost in Waikato this morning but at least a sunny warm day to follow - if you keep out of the wind.

Even Auckland was sunny.

But Gisborne - 10 degrees and wet and windy, yucky!!

Doesn't help that I am stuck in the hotel complex that I am sure was used for The Shining (and Psycho), and that I think that me and my colleague are the only guests, trapped in a 1970s decor nightmare and not hot enough water [}]

BUT you have one of the best bookshops in New Zealand, so that makes up for a lot. My bags will be a lot heavier flying home

Have a niece and her hubby who own the saddlery in Makaraka in Gizzy. Gizzy is normally so nice weather wise lol. Its a nice wee town, especially in summer lol.

That's during the DAY!! At least with the frosts at home (-4.5 this morning, hubby tells me [:0]) you usually get a warm day!

Looking a bit perkier today. Which is good cos once I finish this morning I can't fly out til 6pm

I bet they are glad of the rain, having had a drought and all!

Interesting, oskatd, I mentioned that to a few folk, including forestry ones...and their response was...too late for the autumn growth...

Sure is hungry and thirsty looking soil around the hills here.

I live outside gizzi in a valley and there the cold wind can channel itself to be much colder...[}]
but like smilie said it is very very nice in summer
