crock pots

I have a sunbeam one and I felt the last time I used it that it got too hot around the outside casing. U don't use it often so can't remember if it used to get hot. The handles were ok but the bulk of it was too hot to touch. Is this normal?

i think that is quite normal TKP. i havent used mine for a couple of months, but i'm pretty sure mine does that as well.

Mine gets warm enough on the outside to bake on anything that I spill down the sides so some heat must be normal.

Quite normal - I use mine at least 3 x a week
