how to record from a video camera onto a dvd, eliminating the sound on the video. If I could dub music in, that would be even better. I know how to record, but I want to get rid of all the inane comments people made as I was videoing!

Are you using some kind of dubbing programme on your computer Anne?

If so, I would have thought there would be a sound option where you could mute it if you wish.

I had a similar problem filming at my cousin's wedding, people kept coming up to me and muttering not-quite-so-flattering things about the happy couple. I had to listen to about three hours of footage (twice!) to make sure I cut out all offending remarks[:0]

I'm using my dvd player and camera and TV all connected up to record. I haven't got the right cords to use the computer and the right cord is really expensive.

What make of camera is it? I've got spare leads for downloading to computer for quite a few and some software that can edit music onto a dvd.

Did it - just unplugged the audio lead that plugs in seperately to the dvd player!
