Just had a cedar door made. the guy who made it recommends Sikkens but a friend of mine who makes cedar garage doors swears by Drydens oil stain. He says it is cheaper and much easier to apply and does the job of sealing the door from the weather. Anyone used either product and let me know their opinion. Door will get lots of weather and yes, I will reoil regularly.

I'm afraid I don't know about Drydens, but I do my uncle (a master joiner for 50 years) has never found anything that is as good as Sikkens.

He won't use anything else. Just so you know it's not just your guy recommending it.
