I've had enough of being overweight!

There, I've said it:rolleyes:!

I have no energy, I'm sure my blood pressure is through the roof, so I'm getting that checked at the doctors today[B)]

My knees can't cope with the extra weight and I haven't seen me feet for years which means I have a tendency to fall over things I can't see!!![;)] :D

So last night, I joined weight watchers and I didn't like what I saw on the scales, that was rather scary, perhaps later on down the line I will fess up to what it said, but now I can't!![:I]

So it's sayonara flab and hello new me!

I've announced it on here cos I know you lot won't let me give up after a hard week!

I'll just drink tea, and try not to have the french toast, with banana, bacon and maple syrup.......may just have to have a muffin instead..... ;)

Perhaps we should start a regular LSB walking group? I'd be keen, need more exercise but never seem to put time aside for it...[:I]

Good on you MM, remember if you do sneak "naughty food" you are only cheating yourself. [}:)]
Does this mean your bloomers will change colour as they change size?? Maybe that's how we can tell you are losing :D
Currently red, down a few kgs rose pink, down again, dusky pink etc etc..........

No No No...don't cut the fat, cut the carbs!! Watched a doco recently called 'Fathead' well worth a watch if you've been (like me) cajoled into believing certain things about food pyramids.
Do a google and check it out!

With WW you can eat what you like as long as you dont exceed your points limit.

I know WW works I did it years ago, and the most sensible diet of all of them, proper food at proper meal times.

I agree with that Granny. Unfortunately WW don't! I'm realising that there are VERY divided opinions about what works or is healthy. Good on you MM for doing something. At the end of the day - whatever works for you is a great step!

My only suggestion to diet...... cut out white foods. Seems to take the hassle out of the whole chore of loosing weight.
Potatoes, sugar, rice (brown is good), milk, flour based foods.... the list oges on.
It does make it easy to choose food when out, think white and avoid it.

Good for you MM :) So what are you eating today then? Could we resurrect the weightloss thread? I could use some extra motivation.

A trick that a friend of mine had was when she did her official exercise was to carry the weight she lost on her, and that way she felt she lost more cos when she took the weight belt off the feeling of lightness was a stimulus to carry on avoiding the food, that one wants to eat after the walk.. might be an ideal keep in the broom cupboard when things get tuff..
I guess a bit like that australian comedianne who carries her weight loss in lbs of butter for all to see in the advert.. must make you feel good.
and good luck MM I know how hard it can be, but that poor ticker and kidneys will thank you for it.
If you dont make your walks too early on a thurs I might be able to get over and join in... I occasionally get them off.. I need to combine some puppy training with socialising skills.. so with lots of LEAVE and down and heel we would be around the lake within the 35mins.
Gosh how many poignant signatures can you come up with.. just luv it
