Great programme on Country Channel

I have still got above channel as they had a promotion at one dollar for the month........wasn't much on it til yesterday ,I saw "Jimmy's Farming Heroes" advertised...... Mad Jimmy, saviour of the rare Essex pig ....which incidently he has built into a large business. Anyway this new programme had informative segments on salt marsh sheep, diversifying a dairy farm into a recycling junk /rubbish business, diversifying a sheep farm into a wind farm [their sheep got hit by wind from a nuclear accident[chernobyl? and the only other thing the farm could produce was wind..... Breeding super sheep..... sheep that can survive on little care. ..their rams were sourced from N.Z...where they stated 80% of N.Z. farmers did FEC counts while only 10% of Welsh farmers tested. Also an experiment where they fed beef cattle a diet that had a lot of garlic in it and proved you could cut the gas animals produce by 15% by changing their diet. All very interesting and filmed in Wales. Jimmy was as mad as ever but a very good presenter. If this programme shows up on TV 1 or free viewing somewhere I highly recommend it. I'm hoping it is part of a series.
I have also recorded a programme called Saddle Up, trail riding in the Rockies, so feel I can justify the $3.50 a week the channel will cost me.....and it's too damn hot to work outside anyway.....nearly fainted mowing the lawn......

Wow I just googled it and guess what ..it is a current programme of the BBC's.....so we are getting it hot off the press, not 3 years after it is shown in Britain like most of the Sky programmes! So it will turn up on TV1 at some stage.....remember you heard it here first...[]

They didnt tell me about the $1 promotion Am tossing up whether to get it full time now that I've ditched the sports channel I had to take in previous promotion. When it was still free they had saddle hunter classes from a County show, it was on for quite some time, was pretty impressed by the amount of horsey stuff and a lot of the programmes were interesting so think /i have just talked myself into ringing them again.
