Be generous with the pre dinner drinks and no one will care if dinner is burnt or not

I've done the 'pet Christmas present' lark and all in all, it wasn't much cop.
They enjoyed the wrapping paper more. The toy was forgotten in the rustle of paper and ended up getting dusty in the corner of the room forgotten.
We have a chicken in the freezer that will be getting hauled out tonight to thaw. I NEVER manage to get things cooked in time for dinner owing to the fact that I seldom get up early enough and when I do, I tu tu too much and we have it about 4 in the afternoon, everything is cooked to a frazzle and I don't feel like eating anyway.
Seeing as Bria and Pilot finished off my cup of tea this evening, maybe they can have their own cup of tea as a treat. The two of them took turns at licking the tea out of the cup when I'd left the room, couple of thieving tarts!
Depending on the weather, I may trim a few hooves for the goats as a treat..... not that it's much of a treat but it's something. Ha, must be a bit like getting a new pair of slippers to them.
I know they'd appreciate hugs and kisses too. In other words, Christmas day won't be any different for them eh eh eh.
If Christmas is a hurricane, I've been getting a light breeze from the outside edges. I refuse to get swept up in the hype, it's hard work but a Valium helps to not give a damn.

May Santa slide down your chimney and leave you what you want .... and clean up behind himself too.[

May the holidays pass by with nothing but cheer, especially for those that have had a hard time in the past year.
Is now too early to start drinking to be able to burn the roast???? I want to do it really well [}

I am just about to put the pressies out under the tree for them and place their stockings on the bottom of their bed (keeps them amused for a while in the morning so we have have an extra wee snooze lol)
I love their wee faces when they open the pressies, make the stress of the last few weeks all worth it.
We werent sure if daughter (9yr old) still believed or not...but my suspicions were confirmed this morning. I was saying to son (5yrs) that santa sometimes gets his elves to makes pressies and sometime they have to buy them from the shops (another story in that ),then daughter then piped up with...hmmm you and dad are little elfs to arent you mum with a twinke in her eye[

But having said that, She hasnt come completely out of the "I dont believe in santa" cupboard just yet...still fishing... as i think she is scared that she might not get any pressies if she does

Anyway have a MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone and take care in whatever you do..
