anyone know this song? was created by devan
Ok this is really obscure but there is a song that was on the radio about 18 months ago and it was a kinda slow song and in the chorus it had the line "he wears her down". I thought it was by kings of leon but its not and i've googled those words and can't find it, does this ring a bell with anyone?

I often find a song I like on an ad etc and will google it 'lyrics' and then the bit of unusual wording I can remember...that's how we got onto Snow Patrol originally, before Grey's Anatomy [xx(], they had one of their awesome songs used as part of the Live8 advertising...

There is a name for when you mix up the words of a song.. as in your hear it differently. A good example is in a Jimi Hendrixs song. "kiss the sky" and and some people heard it as "kiss this guy"

One I got hopelessly wrong was from "My Girl"
The words were "The bees envy me"
I heard "The bees and the knees" which made no sense at all but that's what I heard.

A recent one was from a recorded poem, "Said Hanrahan" The words are "Coat collars to the ears" and someone had written "Coke colas to the ears"
Considering it was telling about a group of blokes standing around in the cold, I should hardly think they'd be holding cans of coke to their ears but you hear what you hear[;)]

I can't remember what the word is but there is one. Anyone know what it is? I've heard it several times but can't remember it.

Malapropisms? Not sure if that applies to song lyrics though...

I spent years thinking Hot Chocolate's 'I believe in miracles' was 'I believe in Milko' and thinking that must be a damn fine drink to get that sort of commitment from its consumers [:I] that was when I was young and stupid, as opposed to older and stupid.

As Ronney Barker would say, "I'm muddling my worms" [;)]

In my family, when we were little, my Dad used to sing a song that included the line "strawberry ripple ice cream".

Turns out it was actually, "Be a real cool cat, be a rockabilly rebel like me."

You were little when he sang that to you?! You must be really young [:I] Because I'm not old. Am not! [^]
