Ah no thanks i think i would have to turn vegetarian it made me ill just reading about it.
We did have a HUGE [xx(][:0] rat that finally died from the poison i have been feeding it, it was helping itself to all my goats feed so i wasn't very impressed by him. He must of eaten heaps as he was nearly the size of our cat. [xx(][:0] I hate having any near when i am about to start kidding.

if rats are so dirty and disease ridden how can people eat them and not become ill :confused::confused: or does cooking them make them ok  just wondering. [;)][:0][;)]

Protein is protein and not everyone has the luxury of choosing the source. Perhaps they consider it superior to eating something even less palatable.

Rats themselves aren't disease ridden as far as I know, its where they go and what they carry on their feet etc. Mind you, there is the lepto bit, but imagine you wouldn't be eating all internal organs...?

Got a tough stomach but this is making me quite queasy thinking of it too...[xx(] You'd prefer ones raised in enclosures rather than sewers, I'd imagine [}:)]

I guess that is what it means to be really poor. Not having to go without KFC so you can buy ya fags! Can think of worse things to eat, not many though.

I have family living in Cambodia ... one of their earliest 'stories' was being invited to a local's home for dinner. Eggs. But not eggs as Jamie knows them. Oh no. As it was described to me, it was eggs days off of hatching. A delicacy for the locals, and it was apparently very difficult to not cause offense.

I would like to visit before they come home, but I'm not sure what I would eat ;)
