Help! Westinghouse ceramic hob instructions?

Hi all, this is gonna sound crazy but I need a user guide for a westinghouse virtuoso ceramic cooktop.

We bought one from trademe a while back. We have installation instructions but no user guide. Can anyone help or tell me how some of the features work? It has electronic controls and there's a child lock, a timer, and a symbol that I'm not sure of!! (This is going in a rental property, If it was for us I'd work it out eventually but we need to be able to explain to them how to use it!) They're older folks and new stuff scares them!

Try contacting Westinghouse and they may well have an online version you can download, good luck.

Not having any luck finding one online but I may have worked out enough to get by. Worked out that Westinghouse kitchen appliance division is basically Electrolux now. Found an induction top on the Electrolux site with similar electronic controls so hopefully when the other half sets it up tomorrow we'll be able to confirm.

Don't I wish I could skip cooking every night, matter of fact I wish I was the one getting the new cooktop! It was meant for us but with the plans changing and us selling up we've decided the tenants could do with a replacement for the old one there.

The place I'm moving to has a very near new induction hob so I'll just have to be patient.

Yeah I had a look online as well last night for you, but all I found was down loadable manuals for TVs etc, no hobs.

So if you get desperate maybe you may well need to call them direct, they will beable to send you one out.

What about advertising on TM? just a thought.

Can you read the serial number? Seems to me when hubby is googling for manuals on various things, he puts in the serial number*manufacturer...

Yeah I put in the model number too. All that brought up were a couple of hits on a product recall (yikes)!! Thankfully the recall was on earlier serial numbers than this one.

I think we'll be all right with what I've worked out, just wont be able to test my discoveries until we get it wired in (I hope I'm right cause I'd hate to look silly in front of the tenants. We may try to pop into the shop where the unit was originally purchased. The model is still current so they might be able to photocopy one
