A very dear friend (could have at one time been my DIL lol) has just had her first baby, very prem born at just 32 weeks. Has anyone got any easy knitting patterns for premmie hats and booties??
I used to have some patterns as I had a niece 5 years ago that had a very prem baby born at 29 weeks and I did heaps of hats etc for her but have lost the patterns I had.

Hi there Smilie . I have just had a look in my patterns and I have found a pattern for cardigans and bootees for 3-5 lbs ,5-8 lbs and 8-12 lbs babies .
Would you like me to scan it and send it to you . [^]
The wool is 4 ply and the cardies are either V neck or button to the neck and raglan sleeves.. The boottees look really easy to knit. Sorry no hat pattern .

Along the same lines, can anybody point me to the easiest sock (adult) pattern ever? I've never knitted a sock before so need really clear instructions...I've looked at a few online patterns and the whole 4 needle and heel turning thing is doing my head in a bit. Thanks!

I'm sure that I have some two needle ones - the scanner isn't working though it should be up and running in the next day or so. I can then scan one in and pm you if you'd like?

have had a look around - we're still living in our garage with the chaos that that involves but theoretically the carpet in teh hosue is laid on Thursday or Friday. As soon as this happens I'm going to start moving stuff over to the house particualrly boxes of books, and all my specail magazines. Somewhere I have a complete book of sock patterns including 2-needles. Currently I am trying to master the 4 needle business - I'm knitting fingerless gloves as my first attempt at 4 needles

Ooh - I also wanted to try fingerless gloves too. Are they easier than socks then?
