I was so shocked reading this in the paper the other day. Talk about an inappropriate joke! [:0][!] But what can you expect, really. The man is an idiot.

Whenever I think about George W I cringe. Helen might not look flash, but at least she appears to think before speaking.... (and indeed be capable of thought )

I love watching The Daily Show. They always run stories on "Indecision 2008" and I just love that

They showed George W talking about the price of petrol and saying, "If i could wave my magic wand, I'd bring down the price of oil" and a few other things.

The host, smirking, said "well at least we won't have to put up with George and his "magic wand"".

Then he showed a clip of Barack Obama saying "If I could wave my magic wand.. " and then he continued on to say almost word for word what George W had said.

We then go back to the host who's sitting there incredulously, before he turns to a camera and screams "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And he's so right. It won't make any difference, either way, whoever gets in.

I was thinking the same thing Oskatd, Helen may have her faults but at least she's intelligent and articulate.

Whilst I am not the biggest fan of Helen, mostly I think she doesn't embarrass NZ globally. Imagine how embarrassed Americans must feel every time George W opens his gob......

just watched 20/20 from last week about Americans soldiers in the trauma unit in Iraq. my heart went out to the men and their family's, what a total waste of life.
they should sent politicians sons and daughters to fight first, maybe they would not be as quick to invade other countries.

What shocks me is that they are sending the same soldiers, who have been injured and recovered, back into action several times, and that the tours of duty are now 3+ years for some of them...

What worries me immensely too is with the US's two major mortgage lenders on the ropes, the US coffers haven't got enough in them after fighting this war to bail them out if needed...if they go under, that will mean global impacts on all financial markets...

George W is more dangerous than Saddam and bin Laden put together, but because of our western world civilised mantra, no one actually believes this. I have no idea why he is still alive, also he is as thick as a brick shithouse
