computer people can you help pls?

Can anyone tell me how you create a link from 1 website to another website? I am updating our website which is done in publisher and have been asked to link it to another one...much like the sponsors links on here. Kate can you help if you have a minute

Hi Devan - I don't think I have Publisher but all you need to do is put in a hyperlink to the external website. I'm assuming you use hyperlinks already within your own website? If not then just put in a graphic or bit of text, select it, then (somewhere) you should have an 'insert hyperlink' toolbar button. It will (probably) look something like this

It probably depends on the CMS (content management system) your site uses - a CMS is an easy way to create HTML

In HTML, it would probably look like this:

the site I'm linking to"> sunnyo.blogspot.com "> the site I'm linking to text

The first half is the web address of the site, the 2nd half is the text that gets displayed.

And Kate's way is easier, it ends up looking like this

My html effort must be wrong though Oh well.

I did try with the hyperlink but it doesn't seem to want to oblige
