How much Vinegar for windows?

Its raining here now and I thought I would wash some windows, I have abit of an energy bug and believe me it doesn't happen very often at all. I want to use the old way with vinegar. now how much vinegar to water would be a good mix? It is just vinegar and water with nothing else is it??.

I'd just put a good splosh in Smilie, you industrious thing you. I don't think anything else goes into it.

When I was working on a scheme, we had to clean a massive house in Papanui. The owner gave us water and vinegar to clean the inside of the windows and a NASTY concoction of Ammonia, methylated spirits and hot water to clean the inside walls.

Quite a while after that I had decided to cook T bone steaks for dinner. I don't know what I did wrong but the whole kitchen had to be cleaned. There was that nasty steam distributed fat on the painted tongue and groove walls. (It was an old house)
I mixed up the same nasty concoction I'd used at the big house and anyone involved with cleaning spent the next week coughing. Cleaned the walls good though!

Geez you lot, what is wrong with us. All this talk about washing windows and ironing, I'm gonna have to sit down and have a rest and another caffiene fix

We have polished wood floors (matt finish) in our kitchen and bathroom, best tip I got was from the polisher - use a splosh of meths in warm water to clean them

Hey, when the mood seizes, grab it back! I use about 1/4 cup vinegar to 2 cups water, and use old cotton nappies to wipe the windows clean. They don't leave any streaks. I envy you the energy burst, smilie! I need one now!!!

Oh believe me Andrea, these bursts are very few and far between mate. Menopause sees to that. Most days I have so much trouble dragging myself around. I am now seeing a specialist. she had 10 vials of blood taken off me not long ago and apparrently my thyroid is barely working. Would explain the lack of energy, she has given me so much stuff to take, she was a GP for 20 or more years and now uses natural hormone replacement and other supplements and creams. I have a natural suppliment for thyroid as well have to take 6 drops of iodine in water or juice each day. My energy is better but far from what i would call good. She made me laugh by telling me that by the time she finished with me i would WANT to excercise!!!!!! yeah right. i am a long way from that.
My youngest daughter is moving out on Sunday BOO HOOOOO the last one to leave the nest. We are very happy for her though, her and her partner have brought a house. At least she will not be but a few streets away unlike the others who aremore scatterd. Empty nest will hit again next week. Ya know getting older can so suck sometimes.
