Somehow I've managed to get myself involved in not one but two charitable trusts, one as part time (paid) manager and one as (unpaid) chairperson. So the steep learning curve commences! [:0]

Anyone else out there involved in the governance of a charitable trust of some sort that I can use as a sounding board/pick the brains thereof via email if needed? Am currently printing out about a tree-load of documents to sit down and wade through on the regulatory side of things...:(

Will involvement in a couple of incorporated societies do you? One is a registered charitable entity now.

I was a founding trustee for a charitable trust a few years ago. We were lucky in that a local lawyer cared enough about our cause to set us up for free. From an administrative/legislative point of view, I think it was just the usual annual accounts, gst, etc. but I ended up leaving town before we went through a full financial year
