i would like to start a greenhouse up when we move and toying with the idea of hydroponics. i was thinking of setting up a solar panel to run your pump.
has anyone done this and is it worth paying out one initial expense on.
Hi Rob, I have been involved with tunnel houses,glass houses etc for many years and seen some interesting set ups. One I saw used black alkathene pipe just under the roof surface which was kept with water in it and then a pump was used to circulate it. This provided some heating in the evening and the water was warm. The biggest problem was that they needed to put some cold with it in the summer, as it got too hot. Cheers.
