I had to laugh to myself... I'll apologise in advance rob if you've taken up Telecoms promotion for broadband at the price of dial-up for x number of months.. boy oh boy.. my eyesight is pretty good and I spotted the datacap in very small print on their TV ads and then went and confirmed on their website. It's a pretty small amount of data and then they charge you a significant amount extra if you exceed your allowance!!

Ouch! So if you have signed up with telecom.. you might want to keep an eye on your usage or you may get a bit of a surprise!

yes we saw that and went for 3gb, we will never use that but its fun, i can now listen to my blues music on the radio now

We are with ihug broadband Rob and yes it is B#*^^ great.

You might be surprised that now that things don't take as long that you use alot more 3GB sounds nice!! I'm still on dialup.. but I thing even if we did get broadband we'd be stuggling... I suspect our line quality isn't great, we get alot of noise and I couldn't bear paying more for a service that was onl;y slightly improved
thankkfully though we've got broadband at the day job !!

we got telecom broadband here about a month ago and the telecom man himself pointed out the ad and what it meant!! We took I think 6Gb as I use internet heaps and heaps and so far it has been much better and more stable than our cable in Wellington. The only time it has been down is when the cable was not plugged in - oops

We have been looking at getting broadband. Telecom cant tell us if we can have it or not. Our neighbour up the back of us has it after having a second line put in, but the neighbour just down the road cant get it. Telecom are not sure if installing a second line would work for us.

We thought we might take up the offer thats on at the moment of 6 months for the price of their cheapest dial up and a 30 day money back gaurantee if you are not happy, just to see if it works - from the TV add it looked like the 30 day gaurantee was only for new telecom customers but it does cover us (having looked at their web site) so I must get DH on to it!

Just a pity Telecom seem to think we "might" be in broadband no mans land - will be interesting to see what happens. Seems they blame the copper pipes in the neighbours house as the reason they cant have broadband.
