I use Free Mailwasher to sort my mail before I download it, it works very well. They are pushing teh Pro version at half price $US19.95 until 4th June.
Anyone out there using it thta can explain what the major diffs are between the free and costing versions??

Kate, hopefully you have solved your problems [:I]

Hi Spook, I use the professional version now..... I used the "free" version for about 2 years and then decided I needed it for more than 1 account.

We as a family and business have 5.... and the freebie would only cover one.

so I bought the professional version which I believe is a once off cost, and whilst our aussie dollar is high compared to the US (doesn't that grate considering its a Kiwi product?) bought the Pro. version.

Very happy to date and I am positive that I get less junk these days than before....

But do watch what it "classes" new mail.... I have had it blacklist my cousin and a professional email and am very careful before deleting that I have checked the list thoroughly....

I also have the pro version & wouldnt be without it. With the pro version you dont get that annoying popup either, Ive had it for several years but as swaggies says it pays to check the spam before you delete it, but if you do it is easily restored

Sorry Spoook, I've had the pro version for years and can't remember the differences [:I] However, it started playing up and hanging my PC a couple of weeks ago and I haven't had the time to sort it out....so I'm back to downloading straight to Outlook Express (non-preview of course)

Cheers

If the free version is doing what you want, why buy the Pro version?

You could also try Thunderbird, which has a (trainable) spam filter built in.
