Hey TKP, thanks for the offer, but my road is best avoided! Bloody chaos up here, I've never seen such a shambles in all my life. the original plan was meet at Jenny's and go from there, so meet you at J's about 9am!

Are those guys just leaving the machines up there for show? Can't believe that they can afford to have them sitting there idle for so long, last two times I've been out there has not been a soul in sight! [:0]

Go the council for it, MM, write to them and send them the repair costs. Friend did this when his car got splashes of tar all over it from roadworks and he had to get it steamcleaned off []

And then ask them for the completion date of the work and let them know what's happening...have never seen a rural road job take quite that long to do with so much downtime!!!

I just can't believe that you are so laid back about it MM, I'd be jumping up and down in the council reception area by now! [!]

I've complained twice recently to our council about problems with work done by contractors, and twice the council has found that the contractors are not doing as they are supposed to under their agreement with the council, and the contractors have been cautioned about it. If people don't complain, nothing happens and some other poor sod will get the same treatment down the line...
