I am looking for DIY Kats, so as to save money:) Gerry has started grizzling about the burning now. We thought he was going to get away with just a light dose of the beggers, but maybe not[xx(]

won't help since you're in the SI, but in hammy there was or is (been a while since i went past there last) a painting and framing supplies store on the top storey of the te rapa lights shops across the road from the motorbike shop. not sure if they're still there... maybe someone in hammy could drive past on the way and see if they're open and possibly post some down to you?

If you have a Gordon Harris shop in Christchurch, they have it, otherwise try any good artist's supplies store.

Thanks for your help guys:D Found 'Hands' website. They don't have what I want listed but have emailed them.

Thanks for your suggestion too Ypuk:D Will see if I can find a website for Gordon Harris. I live in the Oamaru area and we don't have a great selection of arty stuff here:( It will be a few more weeks before I go to Dunedin so hopefully I can get some via the net.
Cheers:)

Or, if you're really desperate and know of who sells it down here (Dunedin), I can go get some for you and OH can drop it in to you on his way past on Saturday? He's heading north ...

Unfortunately I don't have the time to ring round to see who sells it, but am happy to pick some up if you can tell me where to go :)

I HTH.

Thanks Spook, but no, what I'm after is just the coloured, heavy, textured card that sounds a photo. It's always part of the framing process, but can be used as a border to set off a photo when entered in A & P competitions.

Hi Midge
I have found Aorangi Picture Framing in Old North Road, Timaru are excellent for this type of thing. They sold me a sheet of the white thick acid free board for cross stitching, and he will cut the coloured board for you. He works from home and is very obliging, might be a bit closer than Christchurch.
