AND WE ARE IN :))

We moved in on Sunday evening and its fantastic....still no carpets or curtains or tiles but who cares...i have hot running water a washing machine and most importantly..a FLUSHING loo...whoooooooooooo
We have no fire in there as yet but are off looking this weekend, anyone know of any good deals out there at the mo ?
I have a fantastic new kitchen with all the mod cons and i am just sooooo happy....even my sheep escaping yesterday didnt alter my mood it took a hour to get them all back in on myown and fixthe area where they got out...grazed my arm and fell in sheep S**t but still smiling
The girls are loving their space, at almost 16 and 13 they needed it back again, the youngest soaks in the huge 2 person bath we put in every night for hours, she has missed he long soaks []
Me, i love the fact that we are all back in one space and i can get up and pee in the night without going outside [8D] Oh and i can load the dishwasher isntead of going outside to wash pots in the freezing cold.
I am knakered every night after moving gear up to the house and yesterday i was getting the caravan ready for Trademe too, i wake up and feel 90....for about a hour until i get moving...then im fine again.

My mum is over here in 6 days time and i cant wait to show her our new land and home, the last time she was in NZ this place was a dream for us, she visited it with us and walked throug the forestry, we have video footage of her trying to get over a fence ...We are looking forwar to seeing her again after a year, another hard one for her in the UK, my Aunt and her sister passed away with Cancer just before xmas...so she is in much need of a good rest and some family time with her only 2 grandchildren and me of course
well better get back to it, got to paint mums room for her and get it all nice, alredy got her some winter PJ's and some nice warm slippers and a snugly dressing gown, she is normaly with us for the summer, but this year she missed it as we had no where to put her. Her first winter in NZ....and it has to be on the cheap as we are skint...so any advice for some good cheap winter fun, please let me know

Mum is fab at helping out and a grait painter too...and with all the house needing done she had better arrive in her painting overalls She was so giddy when i called her monday as she would be in the air this time next week...she is like a big kid, and she comes all this way on her own, so proud of her My dad passed away the year we moved here so she makes this trip every year alone, but makes some nice friends on her journeys One day she may evenbring someone along, who knows
The house was well worth the wait, we are all so happy, you know when you think life cant get much better...well that is how we are all feeling

Thats really great! I think I shall call BD and get him to stop off for a bottle of wine! Can't move in without a toast..or 2...or 3........

Congratulations and well done. I am already jealous of the state of the art kitchen as mine is from the 70's. I lived here for 7 years on concrete (the original carpets had to be ripped up) and found life quite comforable after being given free carpet that I cut into runners and put down the middle of the hall, for example, next to the beds etc. I didn't want new carpet until the entire house was painted, papered etc. Really happy for you.

Tell Mum she can wear her comfy clothes for travelling in, and then pop her painters overalls on at the airport! []

Well done! And what a good time to get in before the really cold weather starts. And who knows, there may still be mushrooms about next week so that's a good free activity for a couple of hours!

Metro Fires have thier fires on special with a free wet back.We have one and are realy happy with it tons of hot water.
