I can't believe it! [:0] It's all a bit scary really (although he seems fine...). Ofcourse, in theory I should have more time to ride me horse now - hooray!!!!
Yeah, I reckon he is. The last few weeks have been such a whirl of finishing kindy, daycare, going to what seems like hundreds of 5th birthday parties, buying school gear, having his own party, going to stay with his nana (she is still recovering) that I can't help thinking that school (and indeed work!) will be a bit of a let down. Still his teacher is lovely, and the school is a nice country school - Just need to get him using the school bus and it'll be all good!
It was always worser for me than the kids when they started. When my 2nd started using the school bus, the bus driver told us a few years later that he got on the bus and said, "Giday you pack of W a n k e r s"[][][][][] [:0][:0][:0][:0] Wish she had told me sooner. I would have made him apologise. Mind you, thats the same kid that in college put the clock forward an hour when his teacher was out of the room and he let them out of school an hour earlier. Didn't find that one out for a long time either.
My son starts school in two months and both of us cant wait.. Though his older sister isnt to happy about having to share "HER" school with him []
He is so ready!! He is like a sponge just wanting to take everything in. He already knows how to add and some take aways. Also is starting to read. And the grammar he comes out with just blow us away...nice stuff though he has had a few choice words come outta of his mouth[]
He made me laugh the other day. We went to the video shop and this car parked up on the pavement where a driveway went. The passenger was still in there with the window wound down. Anyway we went around and i could see my son looking at the car in deep thought. Then he piped up with. "Mum.. now thats a real dumb place to park isnt it?" [] Well i looked at the lady and fortunately she was smiling...
Dont you just love 'em
Anyway all the best for tomorrow and im sure he will love it
Hope he has a lovely day. Its always harder for us Mums than it is for the kids. My for me the last one to start school was a hundred yeatrs ago and she is now a working girl and she was the last of 4.
Of course you have to hope that he's the same tomorrow! The usual reply some parents get from their crying children on the 2nd day is "but you only said I was going to school yesterday...."
LOL!
We all want to know what he got up to today as well!
Nothing much, it seems.... He is very proud that he wrote his first story in his book, and has a huge library book about Dinosaurs that he is apparently going to read to his Dad tonight..... He ate all his lunch, but didn't drink anything! Little camel still has made up for it since he got home!
Yeah that used to be MD's response! What did ya do today? I dunno!
Here I have one that groaned cos he has to go back to school tomorrow! I told him to make the most of it! Once he's out in the big wide world he won't get the holidays he's used to! Ah rising 16 years olds!
Exactly, school is easy, who in their right mind would want to leave and get a job? Hang out til the end - extend denial by going to uni for 3 or 4 years, then bugger off overseas on your OE, effectively avoiding the real world until your mid 20's - after all, what is the rush?
