Kate - log in problems...

Help please Kate - when I log in I get a page that comes up thanking me and telling me its redirecting me..then I get redirected to the forums page but I'm not logged in till I refresh the page - no problems with this as it refreshes with me logged in at the top of the page and even gives me a list of events.

But when I start looking at various forums and decide to post I have problems. If its a new topic I click on new topic and up pops the new post page - I am still showing as logged in. I write my post, push the button and I end up on a page telling me I'm not logged in and I have to start all over again - very annoying! A recent effort took me three attempts to post. Its got to the stage I copy my posting so if I loose it I dont have to do a re write - just a paste!

If I do a quick reply to a forum topic I often have the same thing happen - despite clearly being logged in I am told I'm not - is it me or the system ???

Sorry - had a birthday lunch today followed by grocery shopping and the traffic is mad [][:0] I'll have a look and see what I can see...

I couldnt even get to the forums today - the Data Base error appeared (mentioned somewhere in another post) so I ended up going into my history file, clicked on Cooks Garden for 2 days ago the refreshed and logged in to get here. :(Then when I posted in the prescription thread all went well till I went back to the main Other Topics page where it didnt show me as logged in, even after I refreshed so I had to log in again.... :confused:

It might be something I'm doing rather than the system.[]

Dont worry to much about it - get out and enjoy the Easter weekend

I've been investigating...are you using Vista by any chance and installed updates recently?

Nope, no Vista - any funny enough all is well today (hope I havent spoken to soon[]). It still redirects me to a page showing I'm not logged in and I have to refresh to bring up a page that shows me logged in at the top but no problems posting today. And there was no data base error today.

Will talk to DH in case he has updated something - we are running really old hardware and software so we may have problems this end....and as I really only know how to trun the system on and do basic stuff I wouldnt have a clue about settings etc.

Will let you know if any further problems.

Grrrr - I spoke to soon yesterday:confused: I logged in and posted no problem today in OT then dropped in over in Cooks Garden. When I posted the reply to Welshie the system told me I wasnt logged in:confused:. It took me several more attempts to post my reply. Wonder if its some sort of time out issue?? As it was quite a long post and I am a bit slow on the keyboard did I time out? the system shows me as last logged in at 12.26 pm today which isnt right (must check my time settings) as I have only been on line since 1pm.

Yay. Fixed the time issue as I had not correctly set it to account automatically for daylight savings in my options. Now if I could just figure out what else I am doing wrong:o
