You know we will all be following you throughout this pregnancy don't you. When your FIRST grandchild hits 13 as my first one does in May, then you start to feel very old. Congratulations.

It would seem that having children at this point was not on your daughters agenda but now that it's underway, it's good that all are happy about it. Obviously you are and I'm sure you will enjoy being a grandmother. There is something special about grandchildren and I think it's because we can enjoy them and not have the responsibility. I have 3 grandsons whom I don't get to see anything like as often as I would like but when I do, it's great to be able to play and love and leave their education, feeding, cleaning etc. up to their mother

Cheers,
Ronnie

Ronnie ~ you are 1/2-right. When I met hubby "my daughter" was 4 years old and she has lived with us for a large part of her life

MM ~ this couldnt have come at a better time for us (if you get my drift)
Toni ~ not sure what I am feeling, it came as such a shock.
My daughter is a "career girl", left school at 15 without an qualifications but has, over the years, clawed her way up the ladder and now has a fantastic, well paid job in HR with a very large company. She is pretty shell-shocked and also very sick at the moment. Walking around with the bottle of water & dry crackers ..lol She went overseas for 3 weeks to help out her sister-in-law with a new business venture but was so sick she had to return home

Ronney, I get to do the picking up from school/kindy/daycare and the cleaning as well as the looking after and sending them back home. So don't get out of that part of it. Sometimes though it is a bit much. Have one left this morning, 3 have gone. 3 year old is sitting on my chair at the mo, 'helping' me type. [xx(]I am going to a bbq at their place today so will see them again in a couple of hours.[^]
