So did any ladies take advantage of today, the 29th, only to be seen once every four years, and propose?????

My 91 year old Mum had a proposal today and she leapt backwards laughing like a teenage kid caught in the cross fire. Thank you Dave...random man at the key cutting shop. You made her day. Now what are all the other old biddies at the Retirement Village going to say tonight when she tells them she had a proposal today. Wish I was there to see it. Grin

We have an elderly friend who turned 19 yesterday[:0] :D

I hunted the town high and low for an appropriate card for her (usually make my own but wanted something really special) . I eventually found a funny one that just needed a few words crossed out and replaced.

John Sands needs someone with MM's wit on the 'special cards team'

Partner said we should have got married yesterday as then he'd be unlikely to forget the anniversary!! Like Betenoir, I see no reason to go down that track again - and anyway he always has to spell his surname out to people[;)]

:D Didi. Bet the old biddies wish they'd gone to the key cutting shop.

Aww thats sad, it's never good going to kids funerals, you're never meant to bury your kids.
I read a quote once that summed it up!

When you bury your parents, you bury the past
but
when you bury your children, you bury the future.

That is so true.
