Corn on cob PYO and coffee session

(darn, lost me text, here is a truncated version )

The Kat's Place and I are heading out for a PYO corn on the cob session at The Olde Berry Farm, Morrinsville Road, on Friday morning - 40c a cob.

To recharge the batteries, I'll be suggesting we head to Piko Cafe on Woodlands Road, off Matangi Road, for a coffee afterwards.

Everyone welcome to join us for the picking, the coffee partaking, or both!

What sort of time are you thinking?

9am for corn, 10am-ish for coffee?

Or is that too early to get across town?

Should be OK - have to drop the dog off first as going away for the weekend.

School starts at 9am, Tigger:rolleyes:. I am going to see if I can rearrange some other plans and pop along, but need to drop #1 and #2 off at school and kindy in town first.

Also, is this adults only excursion? I will still have #3 and #4 with me, both under 2 years of age. I wont be offended if it is not a suitable outing for babies.

certainly to coffee stop - how would you get on with the littlies in a corn field? Could we get some for you? and bring it to the coffee stop? You would be most welcome to bring them to the corn thing but if the weather is wet etc it might be a bit full on for you.

#4 is only 3.5mths old so immobile #3 is nearly 17mths old and a runner:rolleyes:[}] I will see if their father have #3 in at his office for a couple of hours.

Firstly, gotta see if I can rearrange my prior arrangements around.

I will get back to you tomorrow with a definite yay or nay as to whether I can make it on Friday.

So to recap, will you guys be at the corn field at 9am? And what time do you think you will do coffee (I have to pick #3 up for kindy late morning)?

Okay, just come straight thru Hamilton as if you were heading for Morrinsville, and then the berrry place is on the left hand side as you head out of town - is that info enough?

Coffee place - head towards Matangi from Morrinsville Road, then take a left at Woodside Road (not Woodlands, sorry ) and Piko Cafe is on the right after the railway crossing - its part of the sports museum complex.

That enough detail??

9am is fine for me, but I am already on the right side of town for it - how do the Westies feel about that time?

We should be done and dusted within an hour, I imagine, unless someone has a whole freezer to fill!

If the blueberry picking was anything to go by we should get what we need in under and hour the on to coffee - 10'ish. give or take a few minutes.

MM - do you have any packing boxes I can borrow?
