Kia ora,

My name is Akshya and I am a PhD student from Massey.
I am researching the role of land use regulations imposed through resource consents and conservation covenants in the protection and management of New Zealand's biodiversity.
In order to understand more about how this translates across stakeholders, I am interested to hearing your perspectives on the matter.

I am looking for participants from Auckland who will be willing to take part in a focus group study. This can be facilitated online via zoom or I can arrange for a meeting in person, depending on your availability and convenience.

Alternatively, if you are unable to set aside time to participate in my focus group study, but are still interested in knowing about my research and contributing your thoughts and opinion on the matter, please find attached a link to a survey attached below.

I have also attached an offline copy of the survey for your perusal.

FOCUS GROUP STUDY

Study on the RMA: Farmers’ comments required – can you help?

PhD student Akshya Ilangovan from Massey University has asked us to help track down some volunteers for a study she’s doing on the Resource Management Act. Akshya is interested in listening to landowners’ perspectives on the RMA. Previously having sent out surveys and receiving an excellent response from the Federated farmers community, she is now in need of volunteers to participate in a focus group discussion. If you would like to participate or wish to know more about the study , contact Akshya at A.Ilangovan@massey.ac.nz. Note the study is supervised and has received full ethical approval from Massey University.

Thank you for your time and participation. It is much appreciated.

Warm regards,
Akshya

I tried to go through this survey
.Unfortunately it is another of the type you cannt read thru before having to answer questions,.If you do answer some and then go back and have a read and change virtually impossible, and I feel that these can be some of reasons people wont take part in them.
Good on the student for finding this site I hope all works well for them.

Hi Linrae, thank you for your valuable feedback.
I hear what you're saying. The reason that the survey is designed in blocks is that it makes it easier to the participants to understand the logical flow of the questionnaire. I have however enabled the function on the survey to allow the participant to be able to go back and edit answers should they need to.
If you are still interested to have a look at the full length of my survey, I am more than happy to send an offline copy to your inbox. This way, you could even fill it manually on microsoft word and send it back to me via email :)

Thank you, I hope my explanation was of some help :)

Warm regards,
Akshya

I am attaching an offline copy of my survey for those who would like to look at the full breadth of the questionnaire before starting to take the actual online survey

LINK TO ONLINE SURVEY - massey.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8wbct4R1kMcOnky

Please note that the number of pages in the pdf do not indicate the actual length of the survey. It appears to be bigger than it seems due to formatting issues while downloading from the online website Qualtrics survey.

Please feel free to contact me at A.Ilangovan@massey.ac.nz if you would like any more details or information.

Hi Akshya - I filled out your survey - but just to note for the age brackets it looked like 34-44 was missing so I'm a bit older than I should be =)
