New Member in Southland

Hi Everyone,

I am about to settle on 7 acres of land just out of Invercargill at Woodlands. I have a house build commencing in March 2020. I have 10 year old twin boys, 3 cats and a fish.
I grew up on farms in the UK (Long time ago now!) but am looking forward to getting back into a slightly more rural life and having chickens, horses and dogs again. Maybe a few sheep.
I am also lucky enough to be able to work from home.

Hi Elley. There’s a few of us in Southland on here. Southland is a great place for a lifestyle block. Have you been living locally for a while, or is the move to the area new as well as the block? Good luck with your build. Will you be living on or nearby your land while it progresses?

I moved back to Invercargill Jan 2018 after a marriage breakup from Queenstown. I was also living down here when my kids were born.
Am currently renting in invercargill.
