Hi everyone,

I'm a city girl from Auckland New Zealand and finally moved to my dream home in the countryside Waitakere with my family. I have 3x teenagers and a grandson who absolutely loves the outdoors. I have a lot to learn and looking forward to your advice and farming/gardening tips.

Thank you for adding me to your group.

warmest regards

Patricia

Welcome Patricia! This is a great place for picking up ideas and assistance with things you don't yet know.

Do you have animals? How much land will you be farming?

Hi Ruth,
Thank you for asking, we have a small holding. The entire land is About 10 acres, the farming area is only 2 acres. We have 10 sheep so far. Hopefully, this will increase. Most of our neighbours have sheep and horses. Love it!

If you don't mind me asking: what's on the remaining 8 acres? A mansion?

look at it from the bright side: no mowing the lawn for hours, and you'll have birdsong on waking up!
