Completely novice lifestyle blockers

We just secured 7 hectares of land in Taipa Northland with 2 x 1 bedroom homes on it, a shed, dam, pond, water tanks, chicken coup and pig pen. The previous owners ran a bee apiary on site. Its been a long held dream to live off grid so we've decided to make the dream a reality. Thanks in advance to all of you who input onto this site. We will digesting as much information as we can.

Taipa.., just up the road and around the corner... Seeing Doubtless Bay come up on the Highway sign boards means we're nearly home. Being totally off grid is fantastic.
