Hi from Waiuku was created by amcivor
Hi everyone, We've just purchased 20 acres in Waiuku and absolutely love our new lifestyle. We have some highland cattle and would like to buy some non fussy weed eating sheep. We've heard the Wiltshires are great for lifestyle property with no real issues (foot problems, fly strike) and would love to hear from anyone who has experience with this breed. We are wanting to purchase a few lambs and have no experience with this but thought they'd be good for the pasture after the cows have been through it? Looking forward to being a part of the forums here. Amanda and Craig

check out Dorpers they are a similar breed but more inclined to be meaty and are very calm animals. They will graze on rougher pasture and prunings. Can't imagine why I bothered with all the fuss of shearing in the old days.

5 acres, Ferguson 35X and implements, Hanmay pto shredder, BMW Z3, Countax ride on mower, chooks, Dorper and Wiltshire sheep. Bosky wood burning central heating stove and radiators. Retro caravan. Growing our own food and preserving it. Small vineyard, crap wine. :)
