Hey Everyone,
We have just sold our home in West Auckland are now looking to buy a small lifestyle block between 1-4 hectares in South Auckland in the Franklin area with a 50km radius to Penrose!!! I know it sounds a bit weird but there are reasons!.
I am passionate about organics and animals so we would prefer to use our land for horse grazing, an organic orchard and possibly a forest kindergarten or home based care for pre-schoolers. My partner is an electrical engineer who loves tinkering and needs a 3 phase power shed!
If you know of anyone who is thinking of selling some land soon or a house with land where some of the land is flattish and not near commercial horticulture properties using a lot of pesticides we would love to hear from you or them.
Thanks!

Hi Stikkibeek,

Thanks for your message. Isn't the house gorgeous!!! Oh to win lotto!!!!! I'm afraid that we have millionaire's tastes on a paupers budget!. Clevedon is a really nice area; we've managed to obtain a brilliant house sit position for 4 months in Kawakawa Bay so we will be going to the Clevedon Farmers Market frequently while we are there! Hopefully we will find a nice piece of land with minimal covenants. In the meantime I'm learning so much from everyone's discussions here. I'm very appreciative of all the valuable advice provided in this forum.
Have a great weekend!

In photo 18, the wing from the centre arch, is their guest accommodation as is that dining table picture (with the American style barn in background.) That's primarily where they have their B&B guests. In the barn, there is a self contained flat, and the cottage/sleepout to the right of that is also self contained. The barn would make nice stables. Some of the 40 acres is a bit steep, but most is good rolling country, ideal for horses. And it's also deer fenced as he runs deer there.
