Hi all

We looked at suburbia and somehow ended up with 5ish acres of mostly bush and a few paddocks

Not enough for horses but have some sheep and a pig, don't want to overstock

GF tells me I am extremely grumpy but what does she know

Have some experience housemoving/construction/etc and have played with farm plumbing and fencing enough to have a vague concept about it

Enjoying the knowledge and advice I've seen on here so far

I may have developed an obsession with firewood

Welcome! My OH always watches out for trees being chopped down during road works. Each year he gets us plenty of free wood just by stopping and asking, most of the time they say yes please take it away!

sounds like you have some useful skills/interests! Firewood obsession is a treatable syndrome, don't worry it is very common, especially after a hard winter....you can tell the measure of a man by the size of his woodshed...
Get yourself a fergie 35 and enjoy......

5 acres, Ferguson 35X and implements, Hanmay pto shredder, BMW Z3, Countax ride on mower, chooks, Dorper and Wiltshire sheep. Bosky wood burning central heating stove and radiators. Retro caravan. Growing our own food and preserving it. Small vineyard, crap wine. :)
