Hi all, new to this site, but just came across it while trying to find info reguarding homekill....We bought ourselves a 4 acre block 2 years ago moved an old 1900 cottage into it, spent about a year getting it up to scratch for us and our 3 children to live it in....So at this point we are still a rather bare block that we have started planting out... So far we have a native road frontage shelter belt planted, and pines running down each side of our block, the startings of an orchard with Apple feijoa, plums, peach, lemon, lime, mandarin, orange...14 claret ash trees lining our curved drive, hedging to protect orchard from prevailing NW, Walnut, cherry, and numerous other native trees and shrubbery....yip its a full time job over summer keeping up with the watering

We currently have two Friesian heifers, with plans of AI ing them later on with something good for eating beef....any suggestions greatly appreciated....Am struggling without a vege garden!!....our land lines the river so theres not much soil as such very rocky/sandy (trees and shrubs are loving it), so to get vege garden we will need to find some soil, which seems to be very hard to come by at the moment...I have a homekill question to ask so wheres the best place to go on here to ask?
