Hello everyone. We are new members.

Our property is an acre town section in the Pirongia Village, Waikato. We have a large number of various tree types and sizes including the remains of a 100+ year old orchard (around 15 trees with 6 or so of different types of fruit). We live in an 1870's built home (one of the first on it's original site in the region), which we have extended and renovated from 60 square metres to 130 square metres. We also have an amazing early 1900's one room school house on the property, and around 1/3rd of the land is in fenced pasture. We have been on the property around 3.5 years, and are planning on planting some decent food gardens for ourselves and keeping some laying hens when we find the time with our young family.

Welcome to the site Cfk - lovely to have you join us.

That's a very generous offer for you to make. I'm sure there will be people who would be delighted to take some off your hands. We have a very kind neighbour who shares his orchard bounty and it is always very much appreciated. Who cares if there is the odd blemish or two - very easy to cut out before eating, processing or cooking.

All the best for the new arrival.

Cheers, Mich.
