my name is rao and am a farmer, we've been growing malabar neem for wood quite a while now and it seems to be profitable, once a malabar neem grower always a malabar neem grower.

Am from south india. Basically from Bangalore, Karnataka, but I stay in Hyderabad, Telangana.

That is a really interesting article about the Neem. Is it the same plant that the neem oil is made from?
How much land do you need for it to be economical to grow it and how old are the trees once you harvest them?

We have had a lady from Kerala living with us for the past 2 years so have been introduced in a small way to the Indian culture and have found it very interesting!

Yes muri, this is the same plant neem is made from. not only that, this malabar neem tree has turned into a boom for us farmers- this is what it did to me-
The land value will be increased as you earn money from wood(trees)
Malabar neem will grow 45feets height in 5-6 years of period
malabar neem Wood used in Construction, Furniture, Plywood as in boats, Medicines and in the areas where wood will be used
malabar neem wood has light weight and very strong
malabar neem tree once plant in 12 years of period it yields 2 times
In 6 years of time a tree will give 10,000/- to 15,000/- income
