hi I'm Gina. Originally from Auckland. Been here in New Plymouth 2.5 years. I have 2 beehives for the last 8 years. We bought 3 chickens 4 months ago. My 2 Plymouth Rocks died within a day of each other. I don't know why. I'm researching and looking for possible signs. I want 2 more chickens. I've not treated them chemically for anything. Can I get more chickens and just be more vigilant without knowing the cause. They free range in a large area. I tend to their needs every day. Does anyone here have chickens for sale. I have 1 hyline brown.
Hi kiwisoapmaker and welcome. Sorry to hear about your chickens. Hard sometimes to work out what could have caused their deaths. But two together does raise one eye brow. Your other chicken would probably enjoy some company. We have bees too, love them. I hope you have better luck with your new chooks when your get them.
