Hi my husband & I are new to LSB living, we have 3 sheep (think they are Romney) and a billy goat on almost 2 acres land. Our grass is growing faster than the demand, we are now looking for varieties of 'mowers' as pets, only. Please advise. Cheers :)

Welcome to the forum.

Where you live will have an impact on your growing season/s and how many animals it would be feasible to keep on the land at any time. Growth nearly always outdoes demand at this time of year, unless you're lucky or very actively managing the situation. Hard to get it exactly right and the more-than-enough situation is obviously vastly preferable to the other.

You're about right especially if the house is part of the 2 acres. Give the animals a chance to eat the grass. Grass growth will slow down shortly anyway

Welcome aboard. If you have three ewes and a billy goat you may well have some interesting results in the spring time.

Lots of laugh, it's 2 rams, 1 ewe and a billy goat; oops forgot to introduce our darling Cassie, female border collie and 2 mother hens who give us 1 egg each

Your dog lays eggs? You have it made.

Why two rams? They're not bottle-reared, are they? How old.

And where are you, so we can help better?
