Hi we're hoping to find a lifestyle property in the Whakamarama area but above the spray zone and wondering if anyone has experience living in the area. Building in a rural area? 100m2 single level house and good outbuildings is on the wishlist but people seem to have big houses over 2 storeys and we want to future proof against stuffed knees and dodgy hips. Would you trade views for a sheltered valley with water? We've lived on an exposed site for 20 years, yes it has the view but growing fruit and vege can be tough and we have learned the value of a good water supply - bonus we haven't had to deal with frost. Advice please
